For the past two years, Onesal has been privileged to collaborate with CA1 CA2 and SkinCeuticals on a series of innovative projects, culminating in the breathtaking "Year of the Dragon" campaign.

This partnership has been a rich exploration of creativity and technical prowess, blending cultural symbolism with modern aesthetics.

At the heart of this campaign is a beautifully subtle concept: bringing the mythic dragon to life through textures, movements, and sounds. The aim was to create a visual and sensory experience that resonates within the beauty world of SkinCeuticals, all while capturing the dragon's symbolic awakening.


This approach allows for a unique representation of renewal and strength, themes that are deeply rooted in both Chinese culture and skincare narratives.


The director's cut version is centered around the idea of using fabrics, organic textures, and elements that represent scales to tell the story of a dragon awakening. This concept was designed to bring SkinCeuticals products to life, symbolizing renewal and transformation. High-realism textures, pulse-based animations, and carefully crafted sound design were employed to evoke the dragon's emergence.


The dragon's scales, depicted with porcelain-like textures and golden metallic hues, are designed to reflect the delicate yet powerful nature of the skin. This visual storytelling technique not only underscores the transformative power of SkinCeuticals products but also aligns with the festive spirit of the Chinese New Year.


Also on the production side, Onesal was responsible for bringing these creative concepts to life through advanced CGI and meticulous art direction. Our team focused on creating a minimalist yet bold visual language, with dramatic spotlight effects highlighting the dragon's intricate details. The entire production process was a testament to the seamless blend of art and technology, ensuring that every element—from the dragon's subtle movements to the final logo reveal—was executed with precision and artistry.
